WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan today applauded the delivery of the final KC-46 air refueling tanker to Pease Air National Guard Base. As Governor, Hassan advocated for the U.S. Air Force to base the KC-46 air refueling tanker at Pease Air National Guard Base, and in 2019 Senator Hassan attended the ceremony for the arrival of the first KC-46 refueling tanker at Pease.
“The KC-46 refueling tankers are a testament to the United States’ superiority in aircraft technology, and I am glad that the twelfth and final aircraft has landed at Pease, which will help keep Americans safe at home and abroad,” Senator Hassan said. “I was honored to help ensure that Pease was selected as the Air National Guard’s first KC-46 main operating base, and I am grateful to the New Hampshire Air National Guard for the sacrifices that they made to prepare for the arrival of these aircraft. I will keep working to support the men and women at Pease Air National Guard Base so that they can continue to carry out their vital missions around the globe.”
