Senator Hassan Calls on Trump Administration to Stop Political Games That Are Increasing Health Care Costs for Granite Staters
WASHINGTON - Today, Senator Maggie Hassan released the following statement on reports that the Trump Administration will request a federal appeals court delay its proceedings on a case regarding cost-sharing reductions under the Affordable Care Act. Cost-sharing reductions help lower deductibles, co-pays, and other out-of-pocket expenses for individuals with health insurance plans in the marketplace.
"The Trump Administration continues to play partisan games and create more uncertainty in our health care system, which will increase premiums for hard-working Granite Staters and Americans. I urge the Trump Administration and Washington Republicans to stop trying to sabotage and destabilize our existing health care system and instead work across party lines to help ease the burden of health care costs that are squeezing far too many people across the country."
