Senator Hassan spoke with children and parents at a Mom’s Clean Air Force event today.
WASHINGTON –Senator Maggie Hassan today joined children, concerned parents, and other elected officials to highlight the harmful impact of climate change and air pollution on families and communities across the country at a Mom’s Clean Air Force event.
“I’m grateful to Mom’s Clean Air Force for all that you do push for real action to combat climate change and protect our air and water,” Senator Hassan said. “People across the country take the dangers of climate change seriously, and we must continue to do everything in our power to combat this threat. The passion and dedication of Mom’s Clean Air Force and countless other advocates are critical, and I will always be your partner in the United States Senate.”
Senator Hassan has long fought to protect natural resources and mitigate the impacts of climate change. Recently, Senator Hassan successfully led efforts to get the Trump Administration to stop blocking the release of an important study about the health impacts of chemicals in drinking water. Senator Hassan also spoke recently on the Senate floor about the urgent need to act to combat climate change, and introduced a bill to create a national study on net metering, which would help support the growth of clean energy and work to reduce the release of toxic emissions into the air.
