MANCHESTER – Today, Senator Maggie Hassan participated in the Manchester School District’s 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony, where she honored the individuals, including the brave first responders, who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
“No matter how many years pass, this solemn occasion is an important time for us to come together as Americans to remember the people we lost, the brave police, firefighters, and others who risked – and gave – their lives to save others, and the collective resilience that our nation demonstrated in the face of great horror on September 11, 2001,” Senator Hassan said. “I am grateful to be with Manchester students today as we look toward the future with hope, knowing that our young people will help keep New Hampshire and America moving forward, ensuring that our brightest moments are yet to come.”
Senator Hassan also participated Sunday in the 100 Nights of Remembrance Ceremony at the New Hampshire State Veteran’s Cemetery, where she paid tribute to those who have served in the Armed Forces and New Hampshire’s fallen heroes.
