Senator Hassan kicks off 2019 ACA health insurance open enrollment period.
MANCHESTER – Highlighting that the time is now to sign up for health insurance, Senator Maggie Hassan today helped kick off the 2019 ACA open enrollment period for marketplace health insurance coverage, which begins today and runs through December 15th. The Senator joined health care leaders and Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter to highlight the importance of health care coverage to leading healthy, productive lives, and discussed important details about the open enrollment period, including how to access premium tax credits through the Health Insurance Marketplace.
“Ensuring that all Granite Staters and Americans have affordable, quality health coverage is critical to the freedom, dignity, and well-being of our citizens, and it is vital to a productive workforce and thriving economy,” Senator Hassan said. “For Granite Staters who don’t have health insurance coverage, I encourage you to take advantage of the open enrollment period to shop around and get covered ahead of the deadline, and for those who already have a plan, it’s also important to take a look at what’s available because plans and costs may have changed. I’ll keep working to ensure that all of our people have the health care coverage they need to lead healthy, productive lives, and you can help me in those efforts by reminding your friends, families, and neighbors about the open enrollment period.”
The open enrollment period this year is November 1st to December 15th. Granite Staters can compare plans and get covered at www.HealthCare.gov. For more information about the open enrollment period, visit here.
