Senator Hassan Meets With New Hampshire Jewish Community Leaders and Reiterates Her Strong Support for Israel

BEDFORD – Senator Maggie Hassan today met with members of New Hampshire’s Jewish community and Ambassador Meron Reuben, Consul General of Israel to New England, in the wake of Hamas’s terrorist attack on Israel. During today’s conversation, hosted by the Jewish Federation of New Hampshire, Senator Hassan stressed that the United States stands strongly with Israel and the Jewish people.

“Hamas’s recent terrorist attack against Israel has shaken Jewish communities across the world,” said Senator Hassan. “America’s support for Israel and the Jewish people is unwavering. I appreciated meeting with leaders of New Hampshire’s Jewish community today to hear how Hamas’s terrorism has impacted them, and I shared my strong support for Israel and the ongoing need to stand up against antisemitism.”

During a recent bipartisan Congressional Delegation trip to China, Senator Hassan had the opportunity to express support for Israel to the Israeli Ambassador to China and joined a phone call to Israeli President Isaac Herzog from the U.S. Embassy in Beijing to receive an update on Hamas’s terrorist attack on Israel. Senator Hassan and the delegation reiterated the bipartisan and ironclad support in the United States Senate for the people of Israel and that they will work to ensure that Israel has the support it needs in its fight against Hamas. Senator Hassan also recently visited Israel, meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog among others, where she emphasized her strong support for protecting the U.S.-Israel alliance.
