Senator Hassan Meets with OMB Director Nominee Representative Mick Mulvaney

WASHINGTON -- Today, Senator Maggie Hassan met with Representative Mick Mulvaney, President-elect Trump's nominee to serve as Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). As a member of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, Senator Hassan will participate in a nomination hearing for Representative Mulvaney's nomination.

"In my meeting with Representative Mulvaney today, I expressed to him the importance of fiscal responsibility, program evaluation and careful management of government agencies, as well as the dangers to our economy in New Hampshire and across America posed by budget battles that threaten to shut down the government. I also appreciated hearing Mr. Mulvaney's support for biennial budgeting, something that Senator Jeanne Shaheen and I have supported. I will continue to ask more questions throughout the nomination process."
