PEASE – Senator Maggie Hassan visited Pease Air National Guard Base Friday, where she received a briefing on the latest developments with the KC-46 air refueling tanker, including a progress update on facilities preparation, and toured the base. Pease Air National Guard Base is home to the 157th Air Refueling Wing of the New Hampshire Air National Guard and will become home to the U.S. Air Force's next generation refueling tanker, the KC-46.
“The men and women who serve at Pease Air National Guard Base are critical to keeping our country safe, secure, and free,” Senator Hassan said. “I was proud to serve as Commander-in-Chief of the New Hampshire National Guard, and I remain committed to ensuring that our Guard has the resources and support it needs to complete its missions. The KC-46 air refueling tanker is vital to protecting our national security, as well as the future of Pease Air National Guard Base and the entire Seacoast economy and community. I will continue working to ensure that the 157th Air Refueling Wing has the support from Congress that it needs.”
Then-Governor Hassan advocated for the U.S. Air Force to base the KC-46 air refueling tanker at Pease Air National Guard Base.
