PEASE - Yesterday, Senator Maggie Hassan visited Pease Air National Guard Base, where she received a briefing on the latest developments with the KC-46A air refueling tanker and toured the base. Pease Air National Guard Base is home to the 157th Air Refueling Wing of the New Hampshire Air National Guard and will become home to the U.S. Air Force's next generation refueling tanker, the KC-46A.
"As Governor, I was extremely proud to serve as Commander-in-Chief of the New Hampshire National Guard, and in the Senate, I am working to ensure that our Guard has the resources, equipment, and support it needs to complete its vital missions at home and abroad," said Senator Maggie Hassan. "In addition to reaffirming the excellence of the men and women who serve at the Pease Air National Guard Base, the KC-46A air refueling tanker will benefit the Seacoast economy by bringing more jobs to the region. I look forward to continue working with the men and women of the 157th Air Refueling Wing to ensure that they have the support from Congress that they need to help keep America safe, secure, and free."
Then-Governor Hassan advocated for the U.S. Air Force to base the KC-46A air refueling tanker at Pease Air National Guard Base.
