Senator Hassan Statement Following Her Meeting with Secretary of Labor Nominee Alex Acosta

WASHINGTON - Today, Senator Maggie Hassan released the following statement after meeting with Alex Acosta, President's Trump's nominee to serve as Secretary of the Department of Labor. As a member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, Senator Hassan will participate in hearings on Mr. Acosta's nomination.

"I appreciated the opportunity to meet today with Mr. Acosta and to discuss the role of the Department of Labor in protecting workers' rights and his priorities for the Department. The Secretary of Labor must be committed to expanding opportunity and protecting the rights of all Granite State and American workers, and I will continue to evaluate his record and approach to the position throughout the hearing process."
