Senator Hassan Statement on Confirmation of Harold B. Parker to be Federal Chairperson of the Northern Border Regional Commission

WASHINGTON - Senator Maggie Hassan released a statement after the Senate unanimously confirmed Harold B. Parker last night to be Federal Chairperson of the Northern Border Regional Commission:

“I congratulate Harold Parker on his confirmation as Federal Chairperson of the Northern Border Regional Commission, which provides critical support to boost community development and job creation in Northern New Hampshire, as well as important funding to combat the substance misuse crisis. I will keep fighting to ensure that the Northern Border Regional Commission is adequately funded, and I look forward to working closely with Harold to advance critical priorities for Northern New Hampshire.”

Senator Hassan recently voted to approve a bipartisan appropriations bill that provides funding for critical New Hampshire priorities, including the Northern Border Regional Commission.
