Senator Hassan Statement on former National Security Advisor Flynn’s Guilty Plea

WASHINGTON – Senator Maggie Hassan released the following statement on former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn’s guilty plea for lying to the FBI:

“Former Trump Administration National Security Advisor Michael Flynn’s guilty plea for lying to the FBI raises serious national security concerns about Flynn’s tenure as one of President Trump’s top advisors, and it is critical that we get a full accounting of any national security threats that Flynn’s contact with Russia may have posed,” said Senator Maggie Hassan. “Flynn’s plea represents a significant development in the Special Counsel’s investigation, and it is more important than ever that Special Counsel Mueller is given true independence to follow the facts wherever they may lead.”
