WASHINGTON – Senator Maggie Hassan, Ranking Member of the Federal Spending Oversight and Emergency Management Subcommittee, issued the following statement on the resignation of Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator Brock Long:
“I appreciate Brock Long’s service to our country. The FEMA Administrator plays a crucial role in overseeing efforts to prepare for, respond to, and mitigate the effects of disasters, and I urge President Trump to quickly put forward an experienced and well-qualified nominee so that the Agency has the stable leadership it needs to effectively protect our communities, especially as the next hurricane season approaches.”
