WASHINGTON – Senator Maggie Hassan released the following statement on the resignation of New Hampshire Department of Safety Assistant Commissioner Perry Plummer. In 2013, then-Governor Hassan appointed Plummer to be Director of the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and the State’s Homeland Security Advisor.
“I am deeply grateful for Perry Plummer’s more than three decades of service to the people of Dover and the State of New Hampshire. As Governor, it was a privilege to work with Perry as he spearheaded the state’s preparedness and response efforts to natural disasters and other threats. In his role as Assistant Commissioner of the Department of Safety, Perry has also played an invaluable role in the state’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including his efforts to help secure personal protective equipment. Our state is healthier and safer because of Perry’s service.”
