NEW HAMPSHIRE – U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan issued the following statement on the passing of Judy Reardon:
“I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Judy Reardon. Judy was a determined and treasured friend and advisor who insisted that those of us in public life act with integrity and purpose. She was funny, brutally honest, and pushed those with political power to deliver real results to people who most need government to work for them.
“Judy was a renowned political strategist, a gifted writer, and a passionate advocate. She left an indelible mark not just on New Hampshire politics, but on the State of New Hampshire – helping steer through New Hampshire legislative policies that expanded kindergarten to communities across the state, increased state funding to education, protected access to abortion, and expanded the rights of LGBTQ individuals, just to name a few. I am immensely grateful for her personal advice and counsel and for the work that she did for the people of our state. Tom and I send our deepest condolences to her sister Patty, her brother-in-law Rik, and to the many friends that she leaves behind.”
