Senator Hassan visits Titeflex Aerospace.
LACONIA – Senator Maggie Hassan today visited Titeflex Aerospace, a manufacturer that provides aerospace support through fluid transfer solutions in a variety of assemblies, recognizing the innovative business for its work supporting the military and NASA, while creating good jobs in the region. Senator Hassan also discussed her efforts to build a stronger workforce in New Hampshire, and noted that Congress funded the Defense Department on time this year for the first time in a decade, and how important that is to our national defense and innovative defense contractors.
“I commend Titeflex Aerospace for all that they do to develop innovative products that bolster our national security and help us push the bounds of exploration, while creating good jobs right here in the Lakes Region,” Senator Hassan said. “I am committed to supporting the important work of Titeflex and other innovative manufacturers in New Hampshire, including making sure that they have the strong workforce they need to continue to grow and thrive.”
As part of her efforts to expand middle class opportunity and ensure that innovative businesses in New Hampshire have the strong workforce they need to thrive, Senator Hassan introduced the Gateway to Careers Act earlier this year. The bill would support individuals who are unemployed or underemployed by strengthening job training and removing barriers that prevent them from completing a degree or credential program and succeeding in the workforce, including housing, mental health and substance use disorder treatment, assistance in obtaining health insurance coverage, career counseling, childcare, and transportation. Additionally, Senator Hassan recently joined colleagues in introducing the Invest in America Act, legislation that will create competitive grant programs to expand the workforce, modernize training tools, and promote job creation in New Hampshire and across the country.
