Senator Hassan Votes to Advance COVID-19 Relief Process

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan (D-NH) issued the following statement after voting to advance the process to provide additional COVID-19 relief:

“With nearly 1,100 lives lost to COVID-19 in New Hampshire and unprecedented financial challenges for individuals and small businesses, Congress must provide additional relief. We took an important step forward in that process, and now we must quickly develop and pass final legislation to bolster public health and vaccine distribution efforts, deliver economic relief for individuals and small businesses, provide aid to our schools as they work to reopen safely, and provide resources for state and local governments as they work to combat the pandemic and avert further layoffs. We must get this done – communities in New Hampshire and across the country need this additional support.”
