Senator Hassan Votes to Confirm Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan (D-NH) issued the following statement on the bipartisan confirmation today of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court. Late last month, Senator Hassan announced her support for Judge Jackson.

“The U.S. Senate carried out one of its most essential and solemn duties as we voted on a bipartisan basis to confirm Judge Jackson to the Supreme Court. She comes to the Court with an impressive legal career, including clerking for judges appointed by presidents of both parties, more than a decade of judicial experience, and many years of legal work before her appointment to the bench. Judge Jackson also joins the Court with a personal understanding of the service and sacrifice of our law enforcement officers and a deep commitment to improving public safety for all Americans, which has earned her support from groups including the International Association of Chiefs of Police. I am confident that Judge Jackson will serve on the Supreme Court with the utmost commitment to upholding the Constitution and protecting the rights of all Americans.”
