WASHINGTON – Senator Maggie Hassan released the following statement following news that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is delaying a vote on the Senate version of Trumpcare:
“The decision to delay the Senate vote on Trumpcare does not change the fact that Trumpcare would lead to higher costs for worse health coverage, all in order to give billions of dollars in tax breaks to corporate special interests, including Big Pharma. I encourage all of my Republican colleagues to take this time to listen to the stories of their constituents who would be hurt under Trumpcare, and to come to the table to work on bipartisan solutions to improve on the Affordable Care Act and to lower health care costs for our people. No one believes that Trumpcare is dead yet, and I will continue working to stand up for the people of New Hampshire and to ensure that Trumpcare never becomes law.”
