CONCORD - Senator Maggie Hassan released the following statement on New Hampshire Attorney General Joe Foster's decision to step down at the end of his term:

"I am deeply grateful to New Hampshire Attorney General Joe Foster for his service to our state. Throughout his time as Attorney General, Joe has demonstrated a relentless commitment to the pursuit of justice and his work has helped to make New Hampshire a stronger, more inclusive place to live. I also want to thank Joe for his courage, integrity, and determination in pursuing investigations into the role that pharmaceutical companies play when it comes to our heroin, fentanyl, and opioid crisis - ensuring that we are using all the tools at our disposal to stem the tide of this epidemic. I join all Granite Staters in wishing Joe all the best in his future endeavors."
