WASHINGTON - Senator Maggie Hassan released the following statement in response to President Trump terminating United States funding for the United Nations Population Fund:

"It is simply unacceptable that President Trump has unilaterally terminated all United States funding to the United Nations Population Fund, which provides critical family planning services including contraception to women around the world. I urge President Trump to restore funding to the United Nations Population Fund, and I will continue to fight against misguided policies that would undermine women's health and economic opportunity."
