Shaheen Leads New Hampshire Delegation in Announcing 13th Experience New Hampshire Reception in Washington, DC

(Washington, DC) – U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), along with U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan (D-NH), Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) and Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01), announced today that the New Hampshire State Society Event, “Experience New Hampshire,” will return to the Capitol Hill on Wednesday, June 12th. The New Hampshire delegation and other members of Congress will attend the event, which exhibits Granite State businesses and their first-class products in the U.S. Capitol. This year’s event marks the New Hampshire State Society’s 13th year hosting the reception.

“New Hampshire is home to some of the greatest small businesses in the country and this event provides an annual opportunity to showcase their diverse products and talents on a national stage,” said Senator Shaheen. “Year after year I am blown away by the goods and services our small businesses bring to DC, thanks to the New Hampshire State Society, which helps make the event an annual success. From chocolate to hot sauce, these businesses will share our state’s entrepreneurial spirit and talent with folks in Washington.”

“Experience New Hampshire is a showcase for New Hampshire’s thriving small business ecosystem,” said Senator Hassan. “This annual event highlights the diversity of our small business community — from our thriving outdoor recreation sector to our vibrant small farms, local eateries, and maple producers. It is always great to have Granite Staters in the Capitol and it is particularly exciting when entrepreneurs and New Hampshire enthusiasts come together for this yearly celebration — the room bustles with the unique energy and goodwill that reflects our state at its best. It’s really fun to share this spirit with people from all across the country.”

“Our Granite State small business owners and entrepreneurs demonstrate why New Hampshire is such a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family,” said Congresswoman Kuster. “Experience New Hampshire is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and recognize the talents and contributions of our state’s business leaders and communities. I want to thank Senator Shaheen and the New Hampshire State Society for organizing this event year after year and I’m looking forward to another fantastic night!”

“Each year, Experience New Hampshire brings our state’s incredible small businesses to our nation’s capital to share their unique products and services as well as Granite State culture,” said Congressman Pappas. “Small businesses drive our economy and way of life, and I’m pleased to once again join our federal delegation in welcoming guests to this popular event and look forward to seeing local New Hampshire businesses in Washington.”

Some participating businesses this year will include Echo Farm Puddings, Lakes Region Community College, Lickee’s & Chewy’s Candies & Creamery, New England Sweetwater Farm and Distillery, New Hampshire Furniture Masters, Port City Pretzels, Ski NH, The Spicy Shark and more.
